S ometimes I am standing at a corner waiting for the “do not walk” to change and I look down at the street and see a place where where someone put paint on the street, usually government rules and regulations telling people how to behave, and I see that nature had has worn away some of the paint and left behind an image which sometimes feels alive.

Other times I see a grease stains or after a rain the water on the pavement evaporates at different rates and for a few minutes these interesting forms appear for a fleeting life, never to appear again.

In a sense this is nature making little sketches which appear at sine time and then are lost to us forever.
